Are you still making new year's resolutions? Here's how you could fold time in half and get to your goals quicker.
We can live exponentially by slowing time.
Time feels the same to each individual but can be vastly different.
Speed is relative to each person. Something exciting happens when we look at our lives from this perspective of time.
How will you measure your life?
What if we were to measure our entire lives as we measure distance traveled rather than time elapsed?
If we measure life by distance rather than time, some people may travel great distances on a given day while others can't remember a single significant thing they did.
The things we do enlarge to fill the time available for its completion; things to be done growing in perceived importance and complexity in direct ratio with the time allowed for completion. Essentially, we are inclined to fill the time we have. If we have a lot of time, it tends to be filled with busyness. If we are crunched for time, we use that time efficiently.
If a task is perceived as unimportant, it will take an enormous amount of time to complete. Conversely, if a job is perceived to be necessary, it will get done soon-sometimes immediately, depending on how important and urgent.
The question is, how bad do you want the goal you are setting for yourself?
If a task is perceived to be complex, it will take longer to complete. Thus, time slows, and more is accomplished by pursuing things we believe to be essential and breaking them down into their most minor parts.
We can live exponentially by slowing time.
